Fears & Phobias

Fears and phobias are intense and persistent fears of specific objects or situations that can interfere with an individual's daily life. While it's normal to feel some level of fear or anxiety in certain situations, phobias are more extreme and can cause significant distress. Phobias can have a significant impact on an individual's daily life, leading to avoidance behaviours that can limit their ability to participate in certain activities or interact with others. They can also cause physical symptoms such as sweating, trembling, and rapid heartbeat, which can be distressing and interfere with daily functioning.

We all experience fears however without a medical expert in this field it is quite hard to know the exact cause because they may be a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Hence it is always better to consider a professional like Deepshikha Goyal. As I suggest that phobias may be learned through observing others' reactions to certain objects or situations, while others suggest that they may be a result of a traumatic experience.

I prefer my patient's several treatment options that are available for phobias, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns, while exposure therapy involves gradually exposing the individual to the feared object or situation in a safe and controlled environment. In some cases, medications such as beta-blockers or benzodiazepines may also be used to help manage symptoms.
